Presented by Block Universe in partnership with Dance Art Foundation, MĂ„rten SpĂ„ngbergâs The Internet pushes the boundaries of performance, intertwining music, dance and sculpture. Investigating the influences of digital communication on choreography and representation, within this performance social networks become secondary audiences, and health apps, games and dating tools are used to generate dance, rhythm and vibe.

MĂ„rten SpĂ„ngberg is a Danish artist who lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. He has been active on stage as performer since 1994 and has choreographed his own solo shows and larger scale pieces, which have toured internationally since 1999. His solo work Powered by Emotion has become a modern classic. In 2002 SpĂ„ngberg choreographed Break, Intermission, Before and After for the Frankfurt Ballet. His last work, La Substance, but in English (2014), was a commission by MoMA PS1, New York, and toured through international venues including Moderna Museet, Stockholm.
